During this year’s 2015 German Tour, the NZHS was proud to be able to license the KWPN jumper stallion ES Heartbreaker, owned and ridden by the Hay family (Claudia and Vickie).
He was much admired by the German Inspector, Hartmut Wilking, and the Society was excited to include him both for the general breeding program and for the Jumper Breeder Program that has just been initiated this year.

However, the following news release from the Hay family describes that he is to leave our shores to skip across the ditch to Australia: 23rd August 2015

“It has been a sad week at Euro Sport Horses with the sale of our gorgeous stallion Euro Sport Heartbreaker, or Red to his friends. We got him as a green broken 3yr old and over the past 8 years have had some great success with him. He has won many competitions and Grand Prix to 1.50m including a 3rd placing in the 2012/13 NZ Horse Grand Prix Series. Red’s new home is in Adelaide at Mallala Equestrian Centre, and we feel the Australian environment will be very suited to him. We wish his new owners all the best with him and look forward to seeing his NZ progeny competing in years to come”

To all our breeder members, if it was your intention to use ES Heartbreaker for your mare(s) this year, then you had best get in contact with the Hay family to see if this can still be possible.
