Due to the recent sudden passing of President George Van Platen – we can announce that our very own Renai Hart has been elevated from Vice President to that of President.

This makes Renai a VIP in matters Hanoverian internationally – and we wish her well in her new endeavours (along with her continued post as Vice President of WBSFH – involved in the department for Animal welfare).

This is what the Canadian Hanoverian Society posted at the time of George’s passing –

It is with great sadness that we are sharing the news of George von Platen’s passing.

George was the President of the Canadian Hanoverian Breeders Club West for the last 3 terms and had been recently elected as the Chairperson of Hannoveraner International after being the Vice Chair for quite a few years. George had a great passion for the Hanoverian horse in Canada and was very helpful to many breeders. George was also a judge and many of you would have met him during that time.

His kindness, humour, and dedication was so special. His family was his pride and joy, and he was a very proud Grandpa.

He will be greatly missed.

Hanoverian International – announcing changes – New Zealand’s Renai Hart is now President.
