Three Sports Performance Mares were awarded in two days in north Auckland – and Two Elite Mares were awarded in Northland the following day.

Elvira (El Bundy/Anamour/Dynamit)  B. Chris, Pam and Annie Wills  O. Sandra Stanford

Elvira jumped to successfully to 135 including appearances at the Horse of the Year Show in 2018.

Her dam is the 2 Star mare Andiana (Anamour/Dynamit) – dam of 12 living foals including three good brood mares and 8 current competition horses eg Laila Dawn (Limonit) GP dressage, Saatchi PSH (Stolzenberg)Open Medium Dressage, Forbes PSH (For Edition)2* eventing and bright young eventing prospect Cooper She has a colt foal by Limonit.

CHS Royal Genie (Royal Blend/Dynamit/Genius) B. CHS Hanoverians  O. Krista and Charlotte Treneary of PK Global NZ Ltd. R. Charlotte Treneary

CHS Royal Genie evented very successfully to 3* Level placing 3rd in the Waiteko Trophy (NZ One Day Championships) and 5th in the Puhinui Three Day Championships in 2020 after which she retired.

Her foal by Carrera VDL KWPN is athletic and correct so she is a very exciting future prospect. Sadly, CHS Royal Genie was lost to colic only a matter of days after receiving her award.

Dawn (Dream Boy/Allermund/Witzbold) B. Jane Vallings.  Owned and ridden by Jo Craddock.

Dawn is still in active competition doing as well as ever in the Show Hunter ring. She started her competition career in Show Jumping with Jane’s granddaughter Emma Buckingham and did well up to 130 level. Jo then began a very successful and ongoing show hunter career with her. The highlights being dual Horse of the Year titles in 2017 – Show Hunter of the Year and Amateur Show Hunter of the Year. Jane accepted an Exceptional Performance Award for this achievement as her breeder.

She has a colt foal  Louis Khan by Glenara Kannanball.

Elite Mares – Decadance MH (Dacaprio/Anamour) and Felize MH (Furstenball Old. /Dancier)

  • Elite Mare – achieved through her Mare Performance Test in 2017 with Dr Ludwig Christmann, where she scored an overall 8 and with two 8’s in the Free jumping to be the best mare that year.
  • Sports Performance Mare – achieved through Dressage at the top level, retiring in 2020 after winning Grand Prix Champion at Waitemata Premier League Championships Show ridden by Wendi Williamson. Decadance MH was also NZ Young Dressage Champion in 2014 when ridden by Kaye Ahsam. Pictured below with her breeder Judith Matthews and EM Felize MH is in the picture on the right.
