NZ Hanoverian Society – AGM at Holiday Inn Auckland Airport 2 Ascot Rd, Mangere Auckland.

 

It’s that time of year again when we all get together and “talk horses” at the Annual General Meeting of your Society on Saturday 31st August 2019 at Holiday Inn Auckland Airport, 2 Ascot Rd, Mangere, Auckland;

 

Afternoon tea is from 1:30pm and the Annual General Meeting commences at 2:00pm.

 

This year the format for the day will be as follows:

 

1:30pm Doors open for tea and coffee – Amelia Earhart Room
2:00pm AGM Meeting commences
3:30pm (approximately) Followed by Dr Neil Houston BVSc.  Vet Associates, South Auckland

·        Care of Mare and Foal around foaling time

·        Neonatal Foal Management

·        Angular Limb Deformities in new-borns that can lead to OCD if left untreated

4:00pm (approximately) Awards presentation
Purchase own refreshments from the bar
6:30pm Move to Vapour Restaurant, for dinner (to be pre-paid on booking form with your choices from the menu included)

 

Accommodation is available at the Holiday Inn (details attached) – please if you wish to stay, book quickly as the, accommodation will fill up fast and do not forget to mention you are with the NZ Hanoverian Society.

 

Attached is a copy of the Agenda for the forthcoming meeting with some important rule changes to be studied by you so that they can be decided upon.

 

Also attached is a Proxy voting form and a Nomination form for your use for the positions outlined.  Under the rules of the Society, these are required to be in the hands of the Secretary five working days prior to the meeting which is Friday 23rd August 2019.

 

At the AGM, the Committee annually run a Photo Competition of Hanoverian branded horses, with two categories – Best Foal and Best Action and Best Broodmare pictures.  If you have a stunning shot, please bring it along for all to see.  These will be displayed at the AGM and the winners will be announced at the Awards presentation.

 

Please come along to the AGM if at all possible. You will have an opportunity to meet others, share stories and photos and raise any issues you may have.  We especially extend an invitation to new members.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to catch up again we look forward to seeing you there.
