The Showcase for Three year old mares – the pointer to the future for our breeders here in New Zealand and the pinnacle for the breeders in Hanoverian Germany
8th Herwart von der Decken-Show – on Tuesday, August 4 2015
The Herwart von der Decken-Show will be held in Verden on Tuesday, August 4, and it represents the shiny opening of the International Dressage and Show Jumping Festival. It is the eighth edition of the mare show that has been developing into a true crowd puller.
The three-year-olds will be presented in two divisions for dressage and show jumping mares. Quality of movement, conformation and type will be in the focus of attention on the triangle. The free jumping under the open sky at the beginning of the show is always something special before the eagerly moving youngsters will present their most impressive properties on the triangle.
The Herwart von der Decken-Show is a special breeding gem for breeders and horse enthusiasts. The regional breeding districts take great care to nominate their best mares for the Verden catwalk. Contingents depend on the number of registered mares. A large part of the mares already shined at local riding club shows, quite a lot of them left the arena as winner of their division or champion overall. There is hardly any other event that provides such an excellent outlook on the quality standards of the Hanoverian breed. The event will start at 9.30 am.
