Bellario Imp. (Belissimo M/Wolkenstein II/Pik Koenig)
The “B” line is certainly a talking point in Europe at the moment, with Belisimo M being the sire of Callaho’s Benicio, Isabel Werth’s Bella Rose and of course the newest Hanoverian stallion to hit NZ – Bellario.
Bellario is out of a mare by the most successful son of Weltmeyer, Wolkenstein II, who was always highly rated not just for his athletic ability but also for type.
With dream scores achieved at all national competitions entered, Bellario was a highly decorated stallion following his export to Australia. Some of his achievements include Champion 5yo at DJWTS, Champion 6yo at Sydney CDI, National Medium Champion, Advanced Freestyle Champion and winner of the 2014 Prix St George Stars of the Future Challenge.
Bellario is a compact uphill type with a kind disposition and above all, the highest degree of rideability. He was awarded a perfect 10 from Anna-Sophia Fiebelkorn as a 6yo at the Sydney CDI.
Bellario produces talented and rideable offspring. Bellario is the sire of countless elite foals both in Germany and Australia, his daughter NEP Santa Barbara (dam sire Royal Oak) was awarded a perfect 10 for her trot on tour. OEH Belgari (damsire Royal Oak II) has been a highly successful show horse both state and nationally in her first official season. Colt Belfonte bred by Matavia Performance horses was Australian top 10 on the Hanoverian tour.
Here in New Zealand, we look forward to seeing further outstanding foals contributing to the success of the Hanoverian breed worldwide.
