Thanks to Dressage NZ for seeing the merit in this series – and for the chance to collaborate in its journey through to the presentations to the breeders and riders at South Island Championships and at Bates National Championships at season’s end.

Introducing the NZHS Hanoverian and Rheinland Performance Series 2025/26
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Hanoverian Society Series for 2025/26 — a celebration of the dedication, partnership, and passion that bring exceptional horses to life in sport.
The NZ Hanoverian Society (NZHS) will collect scores from eligible, registered horses competing in Super 5 classes at each Premier League Competition from Levels 1 to 9.
The Series will honour both the breeder of the top horse in each level with a plaque and the top two riders/owners at each level, with a sash and certificate awarded to acknowledge their vital role in turning breeders’ hard work and vision into success in the arena.
There will be two sections of awards — one for the North Island and one for the South Island — creating a total of 18 possible awards across the levels.
Presentations will be made at the South Island Championships on 7th February and the Bates Saddles Dressage National Championships on 7th March.
If you compete a Hanoverian or Rheinland horse registered with the NZHS, you will be eligible and automatically included in this exciting new series.
Because behind every great horse stands not only a talented breeder — but also the owners and riders who provide the pathway for these horses to shine.
