Today marks the start of a fairly busy tour with Katy Holder-Vale. We look forward to seeing some super mares and beautiful foals at the various venues. 

Monday 22nd January  – south Auckland areas mares and foals.

Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th January – Matthews Hanoverians Stud  – State Highway 10 Awanui

Thursday and Friday 25th and 26th January – Northwest Auckland and Northeast Auckland areas including David Woolley’s stud on the 25th.

Saturday 27th January – Palmerston North area including stallion licensing and mare families at Lucy Russell Equine.

Sunday 28th January – Whanganui , including VHS and  Waverley

Sunday 29th January – Canterbury north of the Waimakariri and Golden Grove Stud for licensing in the afternoon.

Monday 30th January – Rakaia first stop then other areas south of the Waimakariri.

Tuesday 31st January –  rest day in Auckland.

Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd  February – Hawkes Bay including NZPH and environs

Thursday 3rd   and Friday 4th February –   Waikato at Elite Frozen Foals NZ, Mangatautari and  Rainbow Mountain in Rotorua.

💛 There will be foals inspected, mares classified and two stallions for licensing- Baldeep Dhillon in Palmerston North and at Golden Grove Stud in Darfield.

⭐️ Introducing -Katy Holder-Vale, Evaluator�
Katy is a breeder and has been active in the breeding industry for more than 40 years, with a strong involvement in the Hanoverian breed. As a rider she started out in Eventing before moving on to Dressage; she have produced three horses from starting to Advanced.
As an accredited judge for the German Hanoverian Horse Society covering Stallion Licensing, Mare Performance Test / Grading and foal shows, she has judged in Germany, Austria, Canada, and Australia. In 2024 she is due to judge in New Zealand, and she has been a British Hanoverian Horse Society committee member for more than 20 years.
She has worked as senior evaluator with the British Breeding Futurity program for 14 years doing live and virtual evaluations. In addition, she is executive director of the Department of Development for the World Breeding Federation of Sports Horses. This background stands her in good stead to assist the WBFSH studbooks to represent their views and help the development of the industry through collaboration of the studbooks. Katy runs Witcham House Stud Farm in England. In 2011 She was elected as Chairman of the British Hanoverian Horse Society.
2024 Studbook Tour Update
