Foal Assessments – Virtual Tour 2022 Report – Sponsored by MVS Vet Equine
Thank you to those who made the effort to present their foal videos. It is NOT an easy task and so the uptake was rather small. However, the ones that were submitted have made an impact. To MVS Equine – we are eternally grateful for your support again.
Thank you to Laurie Hemphill whose video editing skills were put to quite large tests at times. Her work was remarkable – and so greatly appreciated.
Thank you to Maren Schlender and Bo Eitenmüller in Verden at the breeding for overseas office, for taking time out of their VERY busy schedule to look at the videos and make the scores. We are very grateful for your time and expertise.
I will not give scores – as that is for the breeders to know but we ended up with 15 foals that will receive the Premium Foal Sash. All breeders who submitted a video will receive a Certificate with the marks.

The established breeders were in the frame again – Matthews Hanoverians, Ohuatahi Warmbloods, Stoneylea Farm, Seaforth Farm, Worths, Riverrock Farm, Jess Land Equestrian and Preston Equine

Bruce and Anya Peterson in Napier with 2 foals gaining Premium status with their Royal Oak II colt (out of a mare bred by Nikita Osborne at Seaforth Farm no less) and the Glamourdale colt (Out of the imported Dancier mare).
Veterinarian, Louisa Broughton of Carterton with her Furst Hit EDH colt out of a Wairarapa bred Anamour mare.
And Alanna Aarts of Pukekawa with her Contendro I colt as best Hanoverian jumping colt.
And last but not lease, Debbie and Peter Barke with their Furst Romancier/Don Frederico foal to celebrate not only their Premium foal but to add to the fact that the mare Parkridge Donnamour (B. Carol Eivers) is both Elite Hanoverian (Through her Mare Performance Test) and Sports Performance Mare (through her achievements in dressage competition). This is a remarkable achievement.
