The tour was an immense success – with record numbers taking part and many miles covered in our beautiful country. Here is the report – and congratulations to all who presented their mares and foals in outstanding  turn out  and condition. Thank you to all the helpers along the journey too. Without all the volunteers we could not  run this annual inspection tour (and it is vitally important to have it annually – with many changes taking place every year – two years apart is far too long to ensure we keep as up-to-date as possible to make the improvements we need to make).

Thanks to the sponsors MVS Equine for the Sashes and Blue Blood Equine for sponsoring the Mare Families award

New Zealand Hanoverian Studbook Inspection Tour 2020

Our breeders had the privilege of meeting Jens Meyer this year. He was engaging, encouraging and we loved his dry and sneaky sense of humour. His knowledge was immense, and he imparted this willingly. It was a long trip around beautiful New Zealand for him, but I believe he returned to Germany with good impressions of the country, the horses and people.

It was a big tour in terms of numbers also – with 41 mares inspected and 60 foals assessed. There were 39 Premium Foal sashes awarded – and of those 5 were awarded as Gold Medal Foals.
